Still/Life

2022–ongoing

Matter is asked to carry presence after the body withdraws.

Still/Life stages the body through casts, domestic objects, reflection and organic growth. The figure is rarely whole; it appears as fragment, surrogate or residue. These constructed photographs stay close to the unstable border between body and object, care and estrangement, stillness and continuation. The series remains an ongoing site from which many of my later concerns with bodily memory and disappearance began.
